What You'll Learn
This intermediate course is designed to refine your skating technique by developing greater control, precision, and fluidity. Through progressive exercises, you'll improve edge quality, body alignment, weight transfer, and coordination, allowing every movement to become smoother, stronger, and more efficient.
By the end of the course, you'll have greater confidence in your edge control, transitions, backward skating, and advanced dance fundamentals, preparing you for the dynamic movements of the Advanced program.
You'll learn how to:
- Develop correct body leaning using counter forces
- Master the angular position for stronger inside rolls
- Improve stroking power with elastic resistance and bouncing
- Refine the progressive step with greater control and coordination
- Skate backwards using efficient cross strokes
- Create clean body lines and controlled edge changes
- Perform smooth, dynamic swings
- Execute powerful cross rolls with correct edge pressure
- Apply cross back and cross in front while skating
- Perform controlled Mohawk turns with proper alignment and weight transfer
